كانت معسكرات الذئاب الرمادية معسكرات للتدريب الأيديولوجي وشبه العسكري التي أنشأها ألب أرسلان توركش. المعسكرات المتخصصة في توفير التدريب على حرب المدن لأعضاء تنظيم الذئاب الرمادية. تأسست المعسكرات في عام 1968 وحلت بالكامل بحلول عام 1978.[1] كجزء من عملية غلاديو، مولت الولايات المتحدة وأرسلت أسلحة إلى المخيمات، وكان المدربون في المخيمات من قدامى الجنود في القوات المسلحة التركية الذين تلقوا أيضا تدريبا خصوصيا من الولايات المتحدة مسبقا.[2] بدأت الجلسة الأولى في 14 يوليو 1968، في مدينتي إزمير وغومولدير. بحلول عام 1969، تم تدريب أكثر من 100000 شخص في المخيمات.[3] نمت المخيمات إلى 35 بحلول نهاية عام 1970.[4] كان هناك ما مجموعه أكثر من 100 مخيم في جميع أنحاء تركيا، في مدن مثل إزمير ويوزغات وجانقري والقيصرية وطرابزون وأنطاليا وأنقرة واسطنبول.[1] تم وصف الجنود بأنهم "منضبطون بشكل جيد"،[5] وبعد تخرجهم من المعسكرات، قاتلوا في الصراع السياسي التركي وشاركوا في تبادل إطلاق النار والاغتيالات وغيرها من الهجمات ضد اليساريين والعلويين والأكراد والإسلاميين.[6][7]

The Grey Wolves – The most prominent organization of the violent right wing in Turkey is the Grey Wolves. The Grey Wolves are named for a mythical she-wolf who led ancient Turks to freedom. Its wolf's-head symbol is displayed by MHP members and other nationalists. The Grey Wolves have been implicated in many attacks against leftists, Kurds, Muslim activists, and student organizations. They have also been implicated in attacks supporting the قبرص الشمالية. محمد علي أغجا, who was convicted of shooting Pope John Paul II, was a former Grey Wolf.
